Yad Moss is a Community Amateur Sports Club run by volunteers. We are always looking for new enthusiastic and friendly people to join us.
- help to repair the snow fencing
- help to maintain the facilities eg. digging, painting, tidying up etc.
- help with running the ski tow and the ski club
We are currently in need of further specialist support and are looking for more:
- an assistant treasurer
- engineers, to assist with the maintenance of the Poma tow, generator, vehicles and other equipment
Running your own mini ski area is …..unusual, but great fun! If you would like to help out please contact: email@example.com
We now have some diary dates for summer 2019 working parties:
Sunday 7 July
Sunday 4 August
Saturday 31 August – followed by the ski club Annual General Meeting and BBQ/social, this year up on the hill.
Working parties start around 10.30am. If you arrive later, please wander around the hill until you find us!
The main job again this year is replacing the snow fencing. Please bring waterproofs, sun cream, insect repellent, a packed lunch and drinks, work gloves and a hammer and crow bar, if you have them. Tools will be provided if you don’t. Don’t wear your best clothes !
We aim to work whatever the weather but if it going to be truly ‘Pennine’ and we decide to cancel, we’ll send a message out the night before.
We’ll try to provide some edible goodies each time – and for the Saturday 31 August meet, there is the extra special goodie of the AGM at 17.00 followed by a BBQ/social on the hill! The AGM will follow the working party but we’ll provide hot drinks and snacks beforehand to keep you awake through it!
If you are staying for the social afterwards please bring drinks and something to put on the BBQ. Everyone is welcome.
Along with the scheduled working parties, we may also call some extra ad hoc ones if we need to make more progress. Please watch this space.
If you attend three working parties you will get a complementary season lift ticket!
As always, many will not be able to make every work party, but even if you can only come for an hour or two, it all helps and is usually good fun. Thank you for sticking with us!
