Winter jobs

Winter jobs picture

The vineyard is surrounded by trees which is great as they act as a natural windbreak. That is to say when they don’t fall down on the deer and rabbit fence. But it also mean that once a year we do a bit of serious hard work which makes the summer jobs in the vineyard seem quite pleasurable. Having become quite proficient with tractors and various implements I have not though become very handy with a chainsaw so Paul, Simen and Simon are begged and bribed to come and help me out. There is no need for gym membership once you have done a few days pruning, lopping, cutting, lifting and hauling. Hard work but fun, especially the bonfires. A great way to spend a cold winter day.
